Recovery Centres

Greater Brisbane Area
In 2020, Beyond DV opened their first Recovery Centre in southeast Brisbane- a “one stop shop” hub of Recovery Services giving DV survivors a place that many now call a "home away from home".

Beyond DV opened a second Recovery Centre in 2021 in Brisbane’s north and has now opened a third in Brisbane’s west to provide families with greater access to support across Brisbane.

Thousands of women and children have received support at Beyond DV’s Recovery Centres as they rebuild their lives after DFV. Support provided at recovery centres includes peer support morning teas, DV counselling, group therapy, legal support, housing advocacy, financial counselling, job readiness activities, career mentoring, training and employment opportunities.

Hope Hub​

The Hope Hub at Westfield Carindale is managed by Beyond DV and is a safe space where all community members can access information, referrals and support around a range of social issues, with a focus on domestic violence and mental health.

The Hope Hub is staffed by a trained coordinator seven days a week.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - 10am - 2pm
Thursday - 4pm - 8pm

Hannah’s Sanctuary

SMALL STEPS FOR HANNAH

Hannah’s Sanctuary is a purpose-built transitional housing complex with nine 2/3 bedroom townhouses. A joint collaboration between Beyond DV, Small Steps 4 Hannah and a Brisbane Philanthropist, building commenced in 2022 with the complex officially opening in May 2023.

Women and their children, who have been impacted by domestic and family violence, may stay for a maximum of 18 months as they rebuild their lives, supported by onsite staff and with full access to Beyond DV's recovery programs and services. Small Steps 4 Hannah have furnished each of the townhouses and provide ongoing funding of an onsite Beyond DV team member who provides wrap-around support to clients.

Beyond DV also manage the day-to-day operation of the complex.
