Five pillars of recovery


Our programs and services address BEYOND DV’s “FIVE PILLARS OF RECOVERY” which we have identified from our hands-on work with DV survivors.

Delivering face-to-face services across our three Lillian's Place Recovery Centres (South, North and West) and the Hope Hub Carindale.

Our qualified staff adopts a trauma-informed and strength-based approach. All programs and services are free for DV survivors. We welcome children at each center.

OBJECTIVES
• Access to high quality, affordable, trauma-informed counselling and group therapy • Access to affordable health services including women’s health, dental services, general health services • Access to trauma-informed wellbeing programs

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING

5 FREE Trauma informed counselling sessions.

PATHWAYS TO WELLBEING

4 week strengths based group therapy program.

SHARK CAGE FRAMEWORK

8 week group therapy program focussed on boundary setting.

ALLIED HEALTH SUPPORT

Including dental and women's health services.

YOGA FOR SURVIVORS

Trauma Informed Yoga sessions.

SOS - SELF DEFENCE

Trauma informed self defence sessions.

Legal Support

OBJECTIVES
• Affordable, high-quality legal representation (domestic violence matters, divorce, settlement and children/parenting matters) • Access to high-quality support from police

LEGAL ADVICE

Pro-bono legal advice from visiting lawyers.



Housing Support

OBJECTIVES
• Access to secure, affordable housing options • Support with tenancy matters • Proximity to wrap-around services

HANNAH'S SANCTUARY

Transitional Housing (Beyond DV clients eligible)

Financial Rebuilding

OBJECTIVES
• Access to high quality financial counselling • Debt minimisation • Financial literacy • (budgeting, using credit) • Financial independence (returning to the workforce, training/upskilling)

REACH INTO RETAIL

7 week program with certificate qualification for women interested in working in the retail sector.
In partnership with Australian Retailers Association.

BRIDGING THE IT GAP

4 week program of foundation Microsoft Office skills.



BYOB - BUILD YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Cert 4 Small Business and Entrepreneurship in partnership with TAFE QLD.


BARISTA TRAINING

2 day barista training in partnership with Bellissimo.




PATHWAYS TO HOPE

Access to financial counselling, support with job readiness, enrolment to study and pathways to employment and training.
Additional wrap around support provided.

Inspire2Aspire Survivor Advocate Program

NEWEST PROGRAM
Our newest program is offered to clients who have completed their Pathways Milestone Journey.
Survivors participate in 3 interactive workshops, which provide training to become Beyond DV Survivor Advocates.

Topics covered include:
* Telling your story succinctly and with impact
* Interview and public speaking techniques
* How to deliver your story/advocacy on a range of platforms

Survivor Advocates may choose to use their voice of lived experience in many ways including:
* Media interviews * Presentations *Panel discussions * Policy development * Resource development
